Baking in the field. A pot is needed & I recommend raisins to soften. Turn the lid upside down so that it curves inward & pile hot embers from a dying fire on the top. Fires can be kept alive all night with thick green sapling logs. A cross hatch of combinations of dead & green logs makes a fierce or slow burning fire. Fierce fires stop smoke.
