Political arguments lean on the fact that men aren't intelligent enough to contemplate a thing. So stories are made instead of fully honest accounts. A man speaking nothing but truth is a victim to a political accusation & listeners are often too dull to discern it.
Example:
Jesus was aided by the Romans & their religion was integrated into Judaism. The base was & remains at Rome.
Or
Jesus was aided by Angels sent of God in the form of Roman helpers, who made signs with him to promote Godliness & prophesy lasting thousands of years, coming to pass.
Or
Jesus was approached by Rome, Crown of Israel to help control rebellion a popular teacher. Fraudulent miracles by intelligence services & Roman learning about peacefull living with heavy taxation followed.
Which of these is true? All of them, however you cannot tell people because of limited intelligence common to men & evil political accusation to influence them with part of the truth & part made up. Somebody will read the three examples & chose one to deny God.
God says:
Do what I want you to do & stop finding reasons not to. Jesus is Christ & stories told influence men to please me. Do as he tells you without authority or explanation or anger me. God is God & Christ is his only messenger. Christ lives without hostility toward innocent men & follows a course known by me to bring effortless reign in it's proper time.
