The partially dried Spring is a recourse by digging in the area. The once moist Riverbank encouraged the outlet.
Today I poked around the House of the Warriors Concrete foundation looking for a Concrete base for the Wooden Wall, that joined to the House & found nothing. The area of the Water Gate was located between there & the Garden Path Earthwork, also the Fish Gate which is the normal entrance from the A229 & the Sheep Gate at Nob between the Earthwork surrounds. Perimeter Houses had a private Doorway outwards, the Wall joining to them not surrounding.
