There is a disproportionate level of iniquitous folk greeting or staring these days. I actually work with ordinary people too. It is not a mutual benefit to be among you & I prefer you don't wipe the crap from yourselves with my reputation or holy title by attempted association in public. Stay with your own cast please.
Officers are saluted so that men cannot form relationships whereby they can decide whether or not the officer's choices are right according to them. There is a divide between the men & a leader also.
