The Hell suffered by all who turn to God is of a dominant Enemy, either the Spirits within the Community, within the authority or the Community obedient to authority apply pressure perceived only by a miserable life usually. Compliance with the Letters of Paul in total obedience is meant to turn away the Spiritual assault by self sacrifice.
Chaste: origin chased, agreement to avoid the enjoyable including Sexual relations with a Wife or Partner.

Paul does not retrieve the Christian following the pleasure of the dominant. A Christian should stop self harming & return to moderate Community living when it's possible.
